DAAD – Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst
The Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) is the German Academic Exchange Service. It is the the world's largest funding organisation for the promotion of academic mobility. It provides scholarships for students, doctoral candidates and researchers interested in research stays in Germany. The Service is also active in many fields of cultural politics and education abroad and promotes and organizes initiatives and events at schools, universities and cultural institutions. In Italy, the DAAD is represented by linguistic expert collaborators at various universities.
The University of Florence has entered into a collaboration agreement with the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst for the placement of a DAAD Linguistic expert collaborators at the University of Florence. The DAAD collaborator will work at the Department of Education, Languages, Interculture, Literatures and Psychology (FORLILPSI), which coordinates the activities.
