International Joint Laboratory "Strategic Human Resource Management for Innovation" (SHRMxI)
The International Joint Laboratory “Strategic Human Resource Management for Innovation” (SHRMxI) is one of a kind with an international character. Born in 2014 thanks to a memorandum of understanding between the Italian Air Force Staff and the University of Florence with several international partnerships (University of Bordeaux, University of Madrid, University of Brussels, University of Montreal and HEC-École des Hautes Études commerciales-University of Montreal).
Goal: The SHRMxI Laboratory pursues the mission of transferring research-intervention models in favor of public and private organizations. The SHRMxI develops its activities through application and development of models for measuring the potential and performance of integrated organizational and technological innovation; application and development of management tools to support innovation; application and development of managerial, leadership and specialist training models for the development of specific skills to support innovative processes; identification of strategies for the management and development of integrated organizational and technological innovation processes.
Programs, projects and actions: The SHRMxI Laboratory aims at the following objectives:
- Measurement performance potential of integrated organizational and technological innovation;
- Analysis of cultural and management processes;
- Application of human resource development models for innovation;
- Transfer of research-intervention models in the field of Strategic Human Resource Management for innovation;
- Transfer of knowledge, methods and tools for the development of innovation skills at individual, group and managerial level;
- Application of model analysis, monitoring and follow-up of the human resource management and valorization processes in line with the integrated models of organizational and technological innovation
- Collection of elements on the basis of which to orient the aspects relating to the implementation of a new training model for innovation;
- Application of leadership and people strategy models for innovation;
- Application of innovative performance evaluation models;
- Application of research-intervention models aimed at developing, implementing and integrating Project Work Innovation (PWI) for experimenting with new methods and tools for the development of integrated organizational and technological innovation and in the " human resource management and valorization";
- Identification and mapping of antecedents (i.e., professional behaviors key for innovation in organizations) and inhibitors (i.e., the resistance that people put in place to hinder innovation processes) and definition of innovation strategies;
- Definition of projects and actions for innovation;
- Design and implementation of training activities for innovation.
